Michael williams.
Photographer Michael Robert Williams grew up in the small town of Congleton, just south of Manchester in North West England.
Some time later he moved to London armed with a camera, a photography degree, enough money to live on for a couple of months, and whatever would fit in the back of the car.
Still based in London, today Michael is well known for his portraits of musicians, including The Killers, Oasis, Kasabian, La Roux, Ian Brown, Ellie Goulding, Pixie Lott, Biffy Clyro, Kaiser Chiefs, and Portishead to name just a few, and other celebrities from the worlds of sport, film, and music.
His portraits have featured in many publications around the world, including Filter, Clash, Uncut, Time, Die Zeit, 944, FMS, and NME. In addition to portraits for magazines Michael has produced artwork and promotional images for record labels and artist management, and commercial clients including adidas, Philips, and American Rag Clothing.
This photographer mostly uses strong studio lights to light his portraits. He uses high key lighting to make his models appear fresh faced and make there appearance much more smooth.
I like his images as they show a light-hearted way of presenting emotions- using strong makeup and studio lights to express individuality and personality in his models.

Ian Phillips-mclaren
Born and brought up in glasgow, scotland. by the age of 18 Ian was studying photography. During this time, the BBC made a TV program about him called 'a style of one's own'.
Soon after came his first album cover for wet wet wet, followed by a series of portraits for Vidal Sassoon that were published in American vogue.
Known for his natural, no-gimmicks style, Ian's images are authentic, honest and strikingly expressive.
The lighting used is much more natural then the previous photographer,as well as the tones of the images, make-up and dress. He relays on the models natural personality and beauty to express the image, contrary to Michael Williams who uses strong lights, make-up and color to express the personalities. He uses a slight low key tone to his images to show the realness of what he is trying to portray, which is natural portraits of people in their natural state.
Isaac Hernandez
Isaac has been working as an editorial photographer for over twenty years, publishing in hundreds of magazines worldwide. For the last three years he’s been photographing visionaries in sustainability, in what became the EcoHeroes Project, which includes a photo and multimedia exhibit.
This photographer is different to the previous too as he does not just work from the studio, instead he ventures into the models natural habitat to make them appear much more natural. As-well as this he does not place the models in a certain persition, instead letting them do what feels natural. This comes across strongly in his images as the models are often oddly placed or interacting with other people.
He also uses dark tones in the images.
