These architectural images have all been shot in leeds city centre. I tried to incorprate light and shadow to show definition and detail in the buildings.
This image was taken inside where there was minimal light. The building has been designed so that the ceiling looks like it is getting gradually narrower. I wanted to capture this affect as i thought it was unique.
This 'fox image' was displayed in a shop window. I photographed it as i liked the detail in the fox's expression and thought it was unusual compared to other shop windows designed to advertise products in the shop.
The gold detail that i have photographed here is a floor tile. I liked it as it represented a victorian floor tile which shows historical relevance in leeds city centre.
This building is the office space above a shop. I like it as it shows repetition of the windows and i like the horizontal and vertical lines as it seems like the windows have been 'copied and pasted'.
This is my favourite of all pictures taken on this particular day. I like it as the natural sun light creates shadows on the building and gives the building definition and shape.
This image was taken in a ally-way. I like it as it seems like it is getting darker as you get deeper into the ally-way. It also connotes quite a dark and uneasy atmosphere.
The image was taken while shooting upwards. i like the affect this gives as it makes the building look larger then it actually is. In this image, i like the straight lines and repitition of the windows.
